Why the ARC Summit Exists
Every profession needs a place to step back from the day-to-day demands of the work and ask bigger questions.
Where is our profession headed?
How do we lead through increasing complexity?
What does innovation look like in animal research compliance?
How do we build healthy cultures that support people, the animals, and the science?
The ARC Summit was created to provide that space.
This isn't a conference focused solely on regulations or operational updates. It is a gathering designed to bring together professionals who want to think more deeply about leadership, professionalism, innovation, and the future of our field.
Participants leave not only with new ideas, but with renewed energy, meaningful professional relationships, and a broader perspective on the impact they can have within their own organizations and across the profession.
Conference Structure
A two half-day virtual conference specifically curated for animal care and use program (ACUP) professionals.
What Makes the ARC Summit Unique?
The ARC Summit is a community-focused event designed for ACUP professionals. It features tailored presentations that revolve around key themes: Leadership, Professionalism, Innovation, and Culture. The conference takes place over two half-days and is built mindfully to support knowledge retention, individual health, and accessibility. This format supports a “Come as You Are” energy.
PARTICIPANTS COME AWAY WITH:
Broadened perspectives
Inspiration for new ways of thinking
Strengthened professional identify through connection and dialogue
Renewed sense of purpose
Audience Engagement and Team Building
All presentations happen in a Zoom room. This format allows you to interact with presenters during open discussions. Additionally, access is centered around institutional memberships. This way, team members can attend the conference together and hold meaningful discussion around the presentations happening — in real time, or post conference.
One institutional enrollment allows unlimited participants. We are eliminating concern around budgets. One major goal of this approach to a conference is to encourage program connection and teambuilding. We want you to share this with your IACUC, all ACUP Personnel, and other relevant stakeholders. Watch together with food and beverages!
Connect. Be Inspired.
What Past Participants Said
““I plan to attend every year. The atmosphere is casual but still highly professional. It feels collaborative and welcoming rather than performative or overly formal. It is welcoming and relaxed while still being thoughtful, productive, and professionally valuable.””
