Part 1 - Eugene provides and introduction to EM3 and why he thinks now is a great time to dive into AI considerations for IACUC program management - especially as he has his own hesitations. Additionally, Eugene discusses important considerations about the use of ChatGPT or the like before using them in our program (i.e. data security, FOIA, Hallucinations, etc.). Eugene shares a prompt scenario where he acts as PETA to demonstrate how activists may use the system. Of note, AI may very well change the FOIA Landscape do to metadata and how inputs/outputs are perceived.

Part 2 - Eugene runs through a series of prompts that cover a wide range of topics. Some of those topics include summarizing large text into lay terms, strategizing with ChatGPT on how to support the committee, Mock data generation and data analyses, finding your program’s noncompliance factor, and policy support.

Part 3 - Eugene concludes with a more advanced example that gets at the premise of “Vibe-Coding” wherein, he explores the possible creation of a web-based application to support the semiannual inspection process. Eugene provides his final thoughts and the community discusses.
